Rachael Millanta is an actor, improvisor, comedian and writer, who has a problem with over-enthusiasm that she refuses to address. ‘Lower Your Expectations’ is her solo debut, inspired by everything in her life that hasn’t quite gone as her five year old self had planned.
Rachael studied acting before finding one of her two true loves – comedy (her other true love is her cat – she really loves that cat). She regularly performs around Sydney with improv troupe ‘Night Shift’, and with Rebecca Hurd as ‘R&R’, having studied at Improv Theatre Sydney and Laugh-Masters Academy. She has told stories at ‘Bespoken Word’, and performed improv as part of ‘Makedonka Stoilova: Adulting’ at Sydney Comedy Festival 2018. Rachael also does stand-up comedy, which critics have said ‘isn’t completely awful’. Come along and see if you agree.
Rachael’s parents would also like it noted that she has a law degree from UTS, which is currently going to waste while she pursues her creative passions.
“You’re pretty funny. I don’t think so, but other people seem to enjoy it, so that’s nice for you.” - Clare Millanta (sister)
“Is this what you gave up being a solicitor for?” - Dad
