Two comedy triple-threats on one stage makes this the only show in the festival with a risk assessment and a DEFCON rating. Jeeves Verma & Paul Michael Ayre (supported by Chelsea Zeller), invite you to a dangerously fun evening of never-before-seen stand-up and sketch comedy gold. Are we over-selling this? Let’s find out!
Jeeves Verma is a Sydney comedian who has been disappointing his parents for the last 8 years by building a career in professional scripted and improvised comedy. Jeeves performs a new live show every year which welcomes rave reviews at the Sydney Comedy and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals. He's a faculty member at Improv Theatre Sydney; hosts two weekly trivia nights; is a authorised civil marriage celebrant, and occasionally writes and produces sketch comedy for his YouTube channel. Jeeves studied Medicine once upon a time and chose to leave his medical career in pursuit of the "best medicine".
Jeeves Verma will leave you laughing so hard, you will struggle to remain upright in your seat. - The Plus Ones, Melbourne
This is really personal comedy and it’s worth seeing. - The Australia Times
Paul Michael Ayre is a comedian, actor and writer living in Sydney Australia. In the last couple of years he has worked on Channel 10’s Drunk History as a writer and actor, ABC’s Baron’s, Netflix’s Wellmania with Celeste Barber, Stan’s Bali 2002 with Claudia Jessie and ABC’s Diary of an Uber Driver. He’s performed in 6 shows in the Melbourne Comedy Festival, 3 of his own writing, and other collaborations with comedians like Susie Youssef, Alex Lee, Heath Franklin and Michael Hing. He’s toured twice through Scandinavia and Europe with the Umbilical Brothers as part of their show, The Rehearsal (available on Stan) and recently sold out an improvised show about his own life in the Blood Moon Theatre. And he thinks Jeeves is sexy.
