Nick was a messed-up award-winning comedian for thirteen years. Then he drank Ayahuasca and spent seven years working as an underground psychedelic facilitator. Here’s a comedy show about it. 

 

Nick Sun was a professional international comedian for 13 years, winning JJJ Raw comedy, UK’s So You Think You’re Funny, appearing on television and comedy festivals around the world and performing across United Kingdom, Scandinavia, South East Asia, America and Australia.  

Grappling with depression and addiction, in 2015 he drank Ayahuasca and went through an extended healing crisis/ spiritual awakening. 

Realising he had some serious demons to deal with, Nick quit standup to embark on a seven-year deep dive into the world of healing, and began training and working as an underground psychedelic facilitator for the next seven years, serving Ayahuasca in the Australian underground plant medicine scene. Nick guided over 2000 individual experiences and served everyone from bus drivers to doctors, psychologists to cops. 

In 2023 his plant medicine journey came to an end and he was called to return back to standup comedy to write a show about his experiences, as well as publishing his first book, ‘No Mo Trippin’ which he wrote during his most intense years of plant medicine work (2015-2018). 

After performing nationwide over the last 20 months, ‘Clown, Shaman, Wanker’ is an irreverent distillation of his healing journey during these times of great change.
